You know the old saying, “Into each life, some rain must fall.” Each one of us has bad days.

Over the past two or three years, I’ve been hell-bent on making sure I limit my bad days. I always try to find something positive, even in the worst situations, and believe me, I’ve had my fair share.

On my “bad” days, it’s kind of difficult. However, I always manage to come out on top. After a while, you learn that you really DO control your happiness. It’s a conscious choice you have to make. NOBODY can do it for you!

Perhaps most importantly, you need to be grateful for everything. I mean absolutely EVERYTHING. The good, bad, and indifferent. Because without everything that you’ve been through and all that you have, you wouldn’t be who you are today. Furthermore, you may not have the drive to succeed like you do presently. Having an attitude of gratitude can change you!

Sometimes You Just Need An Extra Push

Every once in a while, you need a little extra motivation. For instance, I love reading. I read blogs, news articles, newspapers, magazines, internet articles, and my favorite; books. I’m presently reading one of my favorites over again! It’s a quick read by Sean Whalen.

If you aren’t familiar, he’s kind of a badass. The guy went through some stuff and came out on top. His book “How to Make Shit Happen” is one of my all-time favorites. Legit, hands down, I’ve read it 5 times. If you need a swift kick in the ass and a reminder to be thankful or to keep up that attitude of gratitude, read the damn thing. I’ll even share the link for it!

That book has legitimately helped me out with my burnout. It’s not going to fix everything, but it definitely gives you fresh perspective. I have several other books that I recommend as well!

We all need a little shove once in a while. What kind of pushes work on you!? Just remember to keep your attitude of gratitude. (It’s important enough to get mentioned several times in my short post!) Always be thankful!
